Newbold Contemporary Service Worship Team

Here are the notes from today's worship meeting.

Present: Rupert, Colin, Marianne, Patrick

1. Try to put the offering within the first 20 min off the programme in order for it to be counted.

2. Prayer Time - please try to make the prayer time more prominent. Perhaps be a bit creative having more than 1 person pray or having a collective prayer, or have people join in on parts. It is important that there is a time in the service where people can really tune in and focus on God.

3. This coming Sabbath the student church JUMP will lead the whole service which will mean that the PA system shouldn't have to be so advanced since they usually have 1-2 acoustic guitars and piano.

4. There will be communion and baby dedication on March 20. This is also when the Eastern Series will start (a total of 3 services will focus on Easter)

5. On March 27, Marjukka will be ordained as an elder.

6. We are trying to have another meeting with all worship leaders from both the contemporary and family services next time. It will most likely be on April 12. I have promised to bake something for us to eat if anyone would be willing to bring some drinks that would be appreaciated. This will be a nice opportunity for us to learn from each other and we will also talk about the Fellowship service and what we can do in the future.

7. Department "Recruitment" - We are still aiming to have each department leader (Sabbath school adult and children, adventurers, music, singers, greeting team etc) to have presentations in both family and contemporary services to tell about their needs and what opportunities there are for people to join. Patrick will try to make a rota of this and the worship leaders should set aside 2-3 min in the beginning of the service for the presentations.

8. We still need more male worship leaders. If you know anyone who might be interested in joining us please encourage them to do so. Perhaps you can do it together with them the first times and "mentor" them.

9. There will be venue swaps on April 4 and June 5.
